Website
This site has been designed with a few goals in mind. Firstly, accessibility
is a key issue. While it is perfectly ok for a site to look nice in a modern
browser, it is not acceptable that someone who doesn't use such a browser (by
choice or not) cannot access the information on this site.
Secondly, you shouldn't have to wait for minutes before anything appears on
our screen. The site has been designed to use few images. In stead, CSS is used
extensively. As a consequence, this site should display reasonably in text
based browsers, such as lynx, and in more recent browsers, like Mozilla and
anything else based on the Gecko engine, Netscape 6 and later, Opera 5 and
later, and Konqueror. If you are still using Netscape 4, expect some problems,
although we try to remain backwards compatible.
Finally, it is the content that makes this site worthwhile. If you have any
suggestions, don't hesitate to share them with us. The best way of doing this
is through the developers mailing list, to which all
editors subscribe. If you need to, you can also contact the webmaster directly.
It goes without saying that this site and the stylesheets that are part of
it pass the W3C validators.
